Quick Hydro Question

Quick question on the hydro units. I'd check myself on my cub but the carb is off it at the moment. Does the hydro power up and down or is it power up and gravity down? Also how does well does the hydro work with a snowblower or a 3pt hitch? Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Has power on both directions.
