1650 that won't move
Its been a while, but I got the 1650 running again. It had an engine issue and sat for a while. Many months ago it was running and moving fine. Finally got around to getting it running again, but now it wont move. Hytran is full and looks clean, filter is unknown age, but looks new still (very little use). When I put the lever all the way 'forward, I hear a constant (with my ear by the drive-shaft) SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSt. Same thing in reverse. She just wont move. Also, since its been so long since a drove it, there is very little "resistance" on the brake pedal. It does put the lever to neutral though.
I search, but was unable to decipher exactly where to start so as to diagnose it....... |
Check the relief valves first. If they are the manual ones, they are probably stuck down.

I jacked up the rear, ran it, moved lever,,wheeels would not turn on their own..but did turn smooth by hand...
I unscrewed relief valves and ran it..i can see fluid way down at the bottom, but not towards the top..don't know where it should be (again fluid in rear is fine...ran it and tried to move wheels and front hydro lever...nothing.... After it ran for a long time..I could every now and then see a bubble or two coming out of the porous stone vent on the top of the rearend... here is a video.... http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...0811-00000.jpg Yes fan is missing..it isn't cooked, as it worked fine when parked... |

looks like the shaft from the motor is spinning in that picture. Does that pump shaft have splines like the newer ones?
