Condenser paint?

Hey everybody, I want to a little freshen up on the paint of my 149 and i was wondering if it would hurt the condenser if I got paint on it? I am goint to remove the coil but I hate to take too much apart because of the age and how good it is running. thanks, Mark

Paint won't hurt the Condenser. However, a portion of the "mounting tab" has to be clean & down to bare metal to establish the grounding needed.
