1440 Questions
I have a 1440 in good condition. I would like to do more than mow the grass with it. This is my first Cub, so I am not real familiar with all the language and parts.
Can I use a sleeve hitch on the 1440 to attach implements? Do I need to be aware of narrow frame - wide frame? Don't even know what it means. Is the only snow blower for this a 450? I can find 350s, but a 450 is a tough find. A 350 will cost $200. A 450 goes for $900+. Can't imagine why! Is there any kind of a scraper blade that can be attached to the rear of a 1440? Appreciate the help much, guys. Thanks. |
Technical Library
I went through the technical library. Got some answers. Found out what wide frame, narrow frame means. Doesn't apply to my 1440. Read up on the sleeve hitch. But I don't know if one can be installed on the 1440. Read up on the snow thrower. The 1440 takes the 450. Yup, the resources are on the site. Us new guys just need to find 'em. So I got some of my answers. Appreciate help on the others.:biggrin2:

A 1440 is a wide frame. You can probably install a hitch, Vince O did it on his tractor but a 1440 does not have the hydraulic lift so it would be the arm strong system. Xtreme may have something that would fit a 1440. http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part...rts%20List.htm
