how many foot pounds to torque head bolts on k301
Hey guys anyone know the correct amount of foot pounds to torque the head bolts to on a kohler k301 engine i am replacing the head gasket on my 124 thanks

25-30 foot lbs. :beerchug:

Make shure you use the right torque sequence, or it will blow again.

You have to torque them down in sequence.
Here's a diagram for the K301. I usually tighten them snug and torque them down in sequence. |
Don't forget to run about 15 min. then allow to cool down and then retorque.

And in case you don't know, run it up to operating temp maybe even 2 times, let it cool and re torque or it will leak.
