increased cooling package

I was reading the 127 chassis manual, on page 1-21 it mentions an increased cooling package recommended for the 12 HP prior to chassis # 318847. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks, Chris

It appears, that some models of early 107 & 127, rolled out of the Kohler Factory without some "cooling shrouds". These shrouds were added after s/n: 315300 & after to provide better head & cylinder cooling.
