frame notch
I notice on later NF Cub Cadets there is a notch in the frame by the points cover. Is this indeed to be able to get at the lower screw of the points cover? My 104 doesn't have it but I made a small circular notch to access said screw. Also I've noticed the same notch on the S/G side also. Any thoughts? Chris

The slots to my understandings are 1. to access the points cover screw and, 2. to allow for belt adjustment for the S/G. One easy mod to do is get a fair sized drill bit and simply drill a hole in line of the screw. That way it saves you from notching the frame and still get the points cover on and off with less fuss and colorful word choices. :beerchug:

Another thing to help with those lovely little guys is to switch the screws to allen head screws. Alot easier to start in/hold in place once you get a straight shot at 'em. :biggrin2:
