SCORED 1650 at Junk Yard

Nice, but dirty . A 1650 Hydro nearly complete, missing the seat only, so far as I can tell. It has a 50 in deck . It looks to have been keep in good shape for a long time then neglected. I shot some air into the tires, I blew cobwebs and such off with Air Comp & some de-greaser & garden hosed most the grease & grim away. The more I cleaned it, the better it looked. That was on Tue . This evening, I started jacking around with it & got my battery out that had been on trickle charge & some starting fluid & Gas & a Universal Key for 1.00 & 9. I checked & topped off oil of course. I started cranking & it turned nicely. A few shots of fluid & some gas in the tank & I'll be darned the thing started & ran real nice . I checked the hydro deck lever & it works beautifully . I was really shocked how well it ran. I released the brake to check the trans & the pedal return is either stiff from sitting or possible spring missing. I got the old girl to go into forward & reverse with great response . I'm simply amazed how someone could chuck this to the scrap pile like it is garbage ???? These picks are before I started cleaning it up .

Awesome save on the 1650! There is no better satisfaction than saving a Cub from imminent death, and then to find out she still runs and drives! More pics of the cleaned up tractor, please!

Anyone notice all of the Quiet Line attention on here lately?

I noticed that the engine side cover panels dont have the lower blue strip & no evedence of any decal ever being there ?? I bought this thing to part out but I think I just found my 2nd classic IH Cub . Left rear fender has been hit pretty hard , .With a seat I may be driving it this weekend I'm planning on a engine tune up.,oil change & a Hydralic drain & new filter, any suggestions would be greatful Thanks & more pics

Is that a black front axle? Maybe been replaced? Looks like you need the U brackets for the seat pan and you'll be off and driving! How are the engine mounts and muffler box? :High5:

Not sure what I'm looking for as far as moter mounts , damage, wear ?? the muffler box is here it seemed to run pretty quiet & smooth. Yes is is a black front axel & I didnt think of the seat u brackets / springs . Is there a rev limiter on these I noticed wene running I could'nt get it to rev RPMs verry high ?? is it limited until in motion ?? WOW I still cant get over it running soo well .

Great save ROWDY72
It's unbelievable that someone would scrap a tractor that still runs.

Nice save! Welcome to the QL family:beerchug:
Duke told me how to check the ISO mounts, but I had bliders on when I was buying mine, so I never saw anything till I got it home. I noticed one being bad after I raised the front up to clean the bottom, the rubber motor mounts will be pancaked, or gooshy from the years of oil and wear.
(if that makes sence, congrats, cause you'll be the only one)
