k301 narrow frame vs wide frame?
 

hey guys got a quick question, what, if any are the differences between the k301 in a 123 and a 1250? In the 123 its labeled a K301AS and in the 1250 its the K301AQS only difference being the 'Q' for Quiet model, i bought a 123 for parts with a good motor and a guy i work with just seized up his 1250 and wants to get rid of it. thanks in advance:beerchug:

Should bolt up in the frame the same, as the oil pans are interchangeable. I don't know about being able to use side shields on the tractor, though..because the 123's K301 uses a starter/generator and the 1250's uses a starter. :beerchug:

then you could just switch the flywheel and shroud i believe? a friend did this in his 122 got rid of the starter generator for gear drive starter

Look at the dip sticks there differnt..1 out the top 123 1 out the side 1250..

You wont be able to put on the electric pto or the muffler shroud base plate because its missing the bolt holes for it. Other than that its the same for the most part.
