cub cadet 127 only 1 speed
 

I have a Cub Cadet 127 when I move the speed control lever (slowly) to go forward or even in reverse the tractor takes off fast and only goes 1 speed. I was wondering if there is an adjustment underneath the tractor to fix this problem? The hydro oil and filter have been changed recently.

You made sure it is the correct filter for the transmission and not using an oil filter?

Yes, the filter is a Fleetguard HF6096. Thank You.

I would check the hydro lever adjustment under the tower area. You pull the battery and then use either a crow foot or a wrench(1 and 1/16 or 1 and 1/8) tighten down until drag is just enough to hold lever . I had to make a wrench work by cutting it in half and grinding on it to fit. My cub was like a speed demon until i did this adjustment. What a difference it makes.:beerchug:
