Decal removal

suggestions for removal on fiberglas dash tower cap 149

hood

In both cases I tried the heat and scraping (with plastic), but the glue remains.

Help and suggestions appreciated. Thanks

3M makes a product called trim adhesive remover. I also use just plain old coleman fuel. It works pretty good.

I took a factory decal off a new Baja boat with it. Glass and gel coat were fine afterwards. But my Cubs don't seem to have a thick gel coat like those boats. That's why I put the question marks. That is my best guess though. Have fun with your Cub.

Decal removal

I purchased a "Decal Removal Wheel". It looks like a rubber hockey puck that has a shank for attaching it to my electric drill. You simple run it over the decal with a back & forth motion without allowing it to stay on one spot and it removes decal and adhesive. Works great. I use it on Cubs and cars. I picked it up at a local automotive paint supplier.
