Amount of "squish" on QL ISO mounts?

Just bolted in a new set of iso mounts on my 1450, and was rather surprised by the amount they "squish" to get to the 20 ft-lb torque value.

When the nut was tightened down, I have ~ 3/8" exposed threads on the stock 2 1/4" bolt.

Sound about right?

Just want to make sure my torque wrench hasn't decided to flake out on me.

I would trust the torque wrench.

The guide.

Yep, that was what I was following.

Just was in awe how much they are compressed, that's all.

Seeing as I have never seen a properly installed ISO mount which wasn't mashed like a roadkill opossum...

I would not trust the torque wrench, or that guide. Those look like the instructions that come with the mounts, which should be ignored. 20 ft-lbs is absurd...that's approaching the head bolt torque on a K161...

Using the original length bolts and new nylock nuts, tighten the nuts such that 1-2 threads shows through each nut, and no more.
