1864 cat0
 

I've tried parts lookup but haven't found the part number for the cat0 lift for my 1864. Once I find a part number I should be able to find a manual for it.

Some pics of my current setup. I don't know what is right or wrong so if you see something out of place please let me know. I'm having problems with having enough space to attach the brinly sleeve hitch to cat0 conversion. Unscrewing the two lifting straps (for lack of a better word) gives me just enough room to get the adaptor on but I'm afraid that I have the arms to low now. I've got 1" of threads showing now. (no pic of that yet)

The bracket where the top link attaches was up side down in this pic.

If you disregard my hitch adapter, it looks like my 1872 arms have lots more "bend" in them!!?? :bigthink:

That pic is the arms fully down.

His arms are correct...the ones for a super are different.

There's way too much of the treaded portion of the adjusters sticking out the bottom of the arms, for starters.

Thanks Matt. I should have posted this pic last night too. I've got 1 inch of threads showing now. It looks pretty low to the ground but that can be set by the L shaped handle on the left side. I did apply down pressure so see how low it could go so I should try it when it's running to see the normal range.

I know my wife's Uncle Gene never used the cat 0 lift as he told me so. He did buy the 1864 when it was a year old so hard to say if that PO used it or not.

Duke, you have multiple mounting holes for the top link, it is possible the top link mounting should be lower!!?? :bigthink:

The first photo is too low, the last photo may be too high.

I would try the middle bolt holes and lengthen the top link.

It would look more like my 1872 when I have a regular three point attachment connected that way.

I put it there after looking at the Brinly PP-1200 cat 0 manual. The first photo it was mounted upside down.

I wonder how close the 1862 cat 0 hitch is to the 1864 cat 0 hitch.:bigthink: Both tractors are about the same I wonder if the cat 0 hitch is the same. The 1864 parts look up doesn't have a cat 0 hitch listed as an attachment but the 1862 does.:bigthink:

I found this manual for the 389 cat 0 hitch. Pages 19-27 for the 389 hitch.

Try the middle hole in the top link bracket...I've never used the other two for anything.
