Steering wheel removal

I am confused I am trying to remove my steering wheel and searching I found a few threads in the past about it however I don't have a nut holding my steering wheel on. I keep seeing references to removing a nut but I have no nut there is a bolt holding my steering wheel on so what gives?

Sounds like someone has had the nut off and didn't put it back on.

I thought that but I don't even see threads where you could put a nut?

i bought a cub that ,some one did remove the threads ,they must have damaged the theads and cut them off ,so a ran a tap down to hold the wheel on ,so to get your wheel off ,you need to make a puller ,i seen tail pipe clamps used to grab with a puller ,,i made a split block ,to use with my puller ,and i mseen a guy use his knees to lift up on the wheel ,and tap the end on the shaft ,and the wheel did come off ,but you might damage the bearings in the steering box ,David

I don't believe that is correct, but I'll let a NF expert chime in.

remove the bolt part way ,and use a puller ,and make a split block ,even some hard wood will work, and c clamps to hold the block in place .David
