Loaded 100!!
 

Wow, busy Cub weekend so far and it's only 1/2 over! My trusty CL notifier app on my Droid tipped me off to this loaded 100 earlier this week. Had to really talk up the lady that had it to hold it for me; it was her late husband's 'toy' and had sat in the garage for the last two years since he passed. Of course she had dozens of calls on it; no doubt some from forum members here; it was just finally 'my time' to be at the front of the line. They say if it's meant to be....

Anyway, it's in fair shape; the K241 is tight, no smoke or noises; gears are good and creeper works, but shifter for transaxle has a broken pin or worse; the shifter moves in an arc from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. I went right over to Ray Weaver's after purchase and got a good shifter and the headlight panel that was missing. The light switch and wiring are already there, still need a Grote for the rear. Home-made sleeve hitch and pukey yellow on the hydro lift with a very odd red, partitoned/notched belt. I'll have to get a direct pic of it, never seen one like it before.

The seat has been welded several times (the perch is backwards, too); I think I will swap it with the seat off the 70 which is much nicer and who's days in the stable are probably numbered now that I have the 100. I have an old pair of AG's that I will probably throw on if they clear the 42" deck wheels. Steering is about what you would expect, I like the spinner; thought I would be taking it right off right away, but it's kinda nice! Also fixed up the exhaust so it's not blowing directly on the grille casting.

Does anyone have a link or information about what is involved to change out the shifter? Will it involve splitting the tractor?

All in all, not too shabby; it's a 100 that has had all the options added over the years; then again, what percentage left the dealer with everything???

Yep, I was one of the guys that called but you beat me to the punch. That Cub only lived about 15 miles from me. I guess getting a 169 has taken the sting out of missing this one.:Cry1::Cry1:

Great find on that one!! I've never seen white wall tires on the rear of a cub before-interesting! Wonder what happened to that other light panel? Congratulations on a chance find.

Bob, it was overdue as I was having seller's remorse after parting with the 2084 last month. The 1450 purchase didn't quite fix it, but this 100 is easing the pain for now...

Tom awesome score on the 100! Great to see one so loaded! The 100 needs to be split to get to the shifter. Contact Binder Books at the top of every page for a printed manual. They are one of our great site sponsers! There is also a pdf in the tech section of the site as well. There's a write up on fixing the broken shifter as well. It is 3 parts and goes over everything you'll need to take it apart fix it and put it back on.:beerchug:

But it looks soo easy in the manual! Don't know weather to split the 100 or the 125 first. I know I'll have less to do on the 100's rear once it's apart, though...

Congrats and nice find on the 100. Gotta do the shifter repair on my 86 one of these days. Fortunately on the wideframes, I've just gotta pull the fender pan. Guess that's why I don't have any narrow frames :HeadScratch::biggrin2:. All kidding aside, congrats on the sweet find :beerchug:!
