Re-building 127 "Type A" front PTO
Hi all,
Just got the front PTO off my 127 after drilling out two of those darned set screws. Looks like the friction disc is toasted, no big deal, I have a rebuild kit. The big concern is the pressure plate is scored pretty good, and it looks like someone beat the reverse side with a chisel. A new plate looks a little pricey, can I get away with resurfacing the old plate by say 0.02" ? Also, does anyone have a cross reference for the retainer and lock nuts for the ears? I wouldn't mind picking up a couple seeing as I have two more PTO's to rebuild. Edit: Another question came to mind. If I purchased an entire "Type B" clutch would that fit without any modification? Are the Type B's heavier duty than the A's? |
