My 126...

Here is my little 126 I picked up last year and have been working on for the last week or two. I have put on a new S/G, rewired the whole thing, one new turf the other was pretty good so I left it. She still needs some TLC but will be working hard this weekend. Alas she is sitting next to my husky making it jealous knowing that the cub is getting all the attention...lol. Love em both and wouldn't trade either for nothing. Oh and the coups de gras, I only paid $75 for the cub it spent 9 years in the woods behind the guys house..

Nice 126:beerchug: You also have one of the more rare Cubs that IH made. So even better! I also paid $75 for my 126 :biggrin2:

Great rare cubs for very low prices (below scrap price!). I like the 126....still has the "old school" written all over it. My 126 is fun to ride and do work with in the snow. Here's to many years of service....:beerchug:

I am picking up a straight cultivator, spring cultivator, disc plow and rear lift later this week, I plan to work both these kids but the cub more. The weights on the husky were bought for the cub but I like the way it handles with them so I may buy another set, they're not IH but for $100 I dont think thats too bad. I'll have less than $600 in all the implements and weights..

Watch the rear lift that you purchase for your cub 126, although it is a narrow frame (NF), it requires a special bracket for the 3 point lift that many of the other NF's do not. That special bracket can drive up your cost a little more than you might have expected--they usually range from $10 (lucky find) to $45 (too much). Can't wait to see your other pics...

Actually I lucked out since the donor is a to far gone to fix 126 the old guy pulled it out the weeds with a bobcat and its very scarey holes all in the frame rear end catostrophic failure(gears through the housing, not sure how that happened) getting the whole deal for a hundred bucks and he said he'll take it off when I get there...

Yep, that very issue took my CL rear lift find from a good deal to just okay. I got it from a member here for $45, but at least I was also able to find a nice OEM center cap for the steering wheel, working IGN switch and brake safety switch. Everything more or less washed out in the end.
