More tiller questions

I have a 1450 w/ 42 & 50" decks, 42" front blade, 40" rear blade, sleeve hitch, and QA36A. Now I'm chompin' @ the bit for a tiller. I've found 2 in my price range. The owners can't tell me if they're #1,1A or #2. How can I tell if these tillers will fit my 1450? I do have pics of them. Also, neither has a mule drive. By looking @ all 3 tiller manuals, it appears the mule for my 42" deck will work. Am I correct? One has the lift pin and the other does not. One has a pulley with a chunk missing, but reading other posts, this may not be a big deal. the one with the pulley missing a chunk doesn't have the cover for the large pulley. Is this a concern? I know not to mess with unguarded belts when they are turning. Something else, I need to replace my seat. I was thinking of a high back seat. Will a high back seat interfer with line of sight on the tiller? Tiller #1 is 38" and tiller #2 is 36".

its on the tag in pic 3 you posted. looks like 1A but the pic is a bit fuzzy

Thanks for the info. The 1st 4 pics are, unfortunately for a narrow frame and I have a wide frame. Had a good price too.

it will fit any IH built cub. NF is just a smaller drive belt. my #1 fits my WF 582 fine.
you just need the correct mule for your NF or WF. |

As which one to buy, Make sure it turns over freeley and the tines and large pulley both move. Then get the one that has both extentions and gear box!:beerchug: |
^^ yes I should of added that about the pulley on the drive unit being 1/2 V and the WF is 5/8" on my 582 682

I forgot to add that a high back seat will not be in the way. You'll be looking over the fenders but your back will enjoy the high back rest.:beerchug:

Thanks guys. Looks like we'll be getting a tiller!
