Charge Indicator on a 123
I own a 123 and want to put a charge indicator on it, but I don't know where it where it should go. I understand it was a dealer option, but I need a bracket or how to fabricate one and then where it should go. I have lights and a lighter and have not seen any pictures of where they were located. Thanks for the help.

I have a 122 that has a charge indicator, but I know its not a factory or a dealer option. They took a hole saw and drilled a hole in the dash on the right hand side of the steering wheel...it looks pretty nice. But I know few people would want to drill holes in the dash.

They were put right below the steering collum. And they were on there on there own bracket just like the ones you would put in your car.

factory installed on the left side of the console right above the tunnel. if you have lights. it mounts below the light switch.

Thanks for the help guys. Does anyone know where I could get a bracket.

Pretty sure cmatthew is right about the location of dealer add on amp guage.
I think I have one or two that are mounted there... But then again, I also have a 123 that someone cut a hole in the top of the hood and put it in there. Not really so sure a dealer did that though. |
My 123 has the bracket on the left side of the console hanging off the side above my left knee and it is original with the IH gauge set into it and the back of the gauge and wiring is exposed.

This is what I done for a charge indicator on the model 71. Works great! |
I like that! It's a nice safe place for it...
