Engagine the Front of engine PTO
I'm not sure if I got the linkage correct in hooking up the PTO engagement lever.
The image in the manual says adjust the wear button and thrust button from .000 to .030 clearance. So what happens, when you pull the lever back it engages the PTO, and my question is this....does the thrust button stay against the wear button all the time the PTO is running? Or does the PTO thrust button press in on the center of the PTO and it pops in gear and stays until its popped back out? I can't get this in my head how it exactly works. Dave |
You've got it backwards...pushing in on the thrust button disengages the clutch; thus, no wear occurs when the clutch is engaged.

No. By the way a tractor would help.
You should download the manual and it tells how to adjust it. But when you pull the arm back on most you disengage the pto. The pto should always be engaged (forward) when there is no deck attach so you don't wear out the fiber button. You beat me Matt! |
Ok
I understand that now. Didn't pay enough attention how it worked before disassembly a long time ago.
Thanks Guys! |
