1650 Axle Swap 3/4 to 1 Inch Question

Quick question - will a front axle out of a CCC 1210 tractor fit my 1650. The seller says it will fit a 782 - I just don't know enough about these Cubs to make a guess. The axle has 1 inch spindles and wheels.

Thanks!
Bill

Thanks for the quick replies. No joy - the guy sold the 1 inch spindle/axle & tires before I could get to them.

Don't know that I need the 1 inch axles vs what I have for my 1650. I'm going to pull the engine to replace the isolators and inspect the front axle while I got the engine out. It seems like I read somewhere that the heavier spindles were more necessary if you were using a loader - don't know.

Thanks again,
Bill

I might be the guy who bought the setup you were after. I have planned to rebuild my old axle assembly. There is a member here from NY who has some spindles for sale. I don't absolutely have to do that though if you need help. What exactly do you need to get back up and running?

You are the guy that bought the axle & wheels. I've had them listed on Craigs list for months. Forgot to remove the listing. Bill if your putting a loader on your tractor you need 1" spindles. If it was me I'd look for an axle from a Cyclops. If you have any questions I'll be glad to help if I can.

Cub-N-It - I've got a 1650 I'm getting ready to pull the motor and change isolators. I thought while I had it apart I might do an axle/spindle swap - just for kicks. I appreciate the offer, but no emergency on my tractor - thanks!

Sam - Good to know there's a Cub Cadet guru to my South. I've spent many a cool night at the Old Fiddler's Convention. This 1650 is my first Cub Cadet. Most of my fleet is Wheelhorse.

Thanks!
Bill

Bill, good to know I have a Cub Cadet Guru to my North ( SAM )!!!
BTW, Hello Sam, lets try to catch up on the phone soon:)

Bill, its good to know I'm not the Lone WheelHorse Ranger around here.
I just picked up another one this week. A 1986 417-A with a series 2, 17hp kohler. Its a good runner, and will be replacing the 42" mowing deck with a 48" deck. Hey if you know anyone wanting a good 42 then let me know. I will let them have it at a good price. I don't need it sitting around here if someone can use it. Also, let me know how your iso replacement turns out. I should have the iso's finished on my 1650 this week ( with a little luck ):biggrin2:

Van,

I'd like to take that 42 inch deck off your hands. I think I sent you a PM and you gave me a price over on the Redsquare forum.

Shoot me a PM and we can discuss the logistics of getting that deck.

Thanks!
Bill
