Didier Hydra Sickle

Last fall i traded off my 1811 and got this Didier Hydra sickle from fellow member Nashcub along with one of his run of #40 repo box blades and a 12'' brinley plow. Ive tried scouring the web for any info on the Hydra sickle and coming up short. I do know that Nashcub said he only knew of one other to exist, and that they were bought up by Haban before too many left the factory. Im just wanting to know how many were made and when, and if anyone knows how many escaped before the buy out. Ill be putting it to good use this spring and plan to do a full resto on it in the fall and winter, even working on having decals made for it.

Thanks for any info you guys have! :beer2:

there are a ton of these for John Deeres, infact, i know a guy who has one he wants $100 for. the front frame is cut off but wouldn't be hard to make another mount for any other tractor. check out www.weekendfreedommachines.com and see what they might have to say. i have seen at least 3 of these machines at different shows on different John Deere tractors. all with the Didier name on them.

Thats interesting. Mine is built specificly for the WF cubs, namely the 1x8/9, QL, and 82 series. Ill take a peek and see what they have on them though. Thanks!

I remember that thing, that hydraulic lift is awsesome! Can't wait to see some pics of it working and mounted.
