how did you aquire so many Cub Cadets GT?

I am the owner of only 1 Cub Cadet GT(for now). I was wondering and imagine others would be interested in a thread of how the multiple cub members came to amass a lengthy Cub line up . Which one is your favorite , one that gets the most use , etc

green 4 acres,
Thought on this a while, then a little longer, longer still, nothing.
Ever watch the show hoarding:) Well they have a hard time explaining it too:biggrin2:

These are my fairly low cost, hot rods, customs, work machines, engine builds, research projects, restorations, fixer uppers, retirement hobby, collection of toys!

Once you own two, folks seek you out, to pawn theirs off on you also.

That's the best I could do!
Regards,
Chris

It started roughly five years ago when I was looking for a 149 to use on my newly acquired acreage. I grew up using a 129 for mowing, tilling, etc., that Dad bought new. Decided on the 149 due to hydraulic lift. It snowballed from there :biggrin2:. I'm sitting at nine cubs now. I've let quite a few go down the road to buy others over the years. The best part for me is finding one with a rare/unusual attachment and the chase to find 'em. I've known for years that I've got the disease :Help::Woo:.

I keep a close eye on craigslist and everyone i know knows im always looking for them so they keep an eye out for me too. So far i havent paid over $150 for one but the cheap ones are getting few and far between. My favorite is my very first one a 100 i got for $100 not running with a creeper so far ive added a 3pt fenders and a spring assist duals and a 12 horse engine i use it all the time from mowing to just pullin the kids around in the cart

Those are ATV (UTV!??) wheels turned around backward. The tires are radials.

There are 4 on CL Roanoke VA yesterday for $100. (Not mine!!)

I think sugarmaker hit my answer.

Before I was married with children I spent loads of $$ on hot rods, bikes and other hobbies. Now that I have others depending on me I find the same joy in restoring/modifying old cubs for a lot less $

I use my 147 the most.
Why?
Because its the most powerful of the herd!

How'd I get 4 cubs?
They were attached to implements I wanted.

I started in garden tractors when I was about 11, the first cub I ever had was a 104, and I was just impressed with how it was built. The cub that really started it all was my 123 ( thus the username:biggrin2:) it had most of the goodies, sleeve hitch, weights, lights, and the other stuff I added. At this time my all time favorite is my 982, but I'll never let go of my 123 either. At this point I have 9 cubs, and my dad has 2, plus a lot of attachments. The worst thing is deciding which one to use :bigthink:

My dads 125 was the first thing i ever drove when i was a little kid thanks to the hand hydro. i grew up Playing with toy ertl farmalls and loving every tractor i could. when i turned 16 i realized that dads old 125 was cooler yet once i found this site. then i found a 129 and some attachments and hit it off from there. like everyone says its a CHEAP hobby. sure you can build and restore cars and farm tractors but they take up more room and are much more costly. the main thing that keeps my going in my cub addiction is this site. if it wasnt for OCC, cubbin wouldnt be near as fun.

when i have 12 cubs and multiple attachments its too hard to decide what one to use most or the exact favorite but if i narrowed down to 2, it would be my 169 and my 108.
