Value of IH 982

What about would the value of this 982 be? Its in very nice shape, dash is good, runs good, has the onan. hydro works good too,has the aluminum axle tubes, the deck is nice as well. Plus it has a very large haban blade,54"? no 3 point or rear pto. I know very little about the supers:bash2:, so help me out here.

It looks to be in great shape. The Haban blade is probably worth between $300 and $400 dollars. I would say the 982 and deck without rear lift or PTO is worth between $2100 and $2500. Now you have to remember location has a lot to do with prices and if they go for a higher or lower price. They are quite rare around here and would pull a good price here. What are they asking for it?

These are just my estimates. I may be thinking a bit high compared to someone else here.

Thanks DX3, from what you've said and looking at it myself its looking like a pretty good deal, if things work out I might end up with a red super in the shed!

I hope it works out for you, but beware, Red fever is as bad if not worse then yellow fever. :biggrin2:

I'd say around $2500 - $2600 for all three. :HeadScratch: I agree with DX3, that blade alone is worth a fair bit if it isn't all bent up. Looks like it has lack axles, like you mentioned aluminum rear so its newer. But it does have turning brakes so that should add about $100.00 to the price if they work. :bigthink: Tin work is in decent shape by the looks of it and you say the dash is not all cracked up. Heck, it HAS side panels! That's a bonus right there - most of the ones I have seen are almost ALWAYS missing the side panels and/or the seat! Your prospective tractor has BOTH! :beer2:

BUY IT UP!!

For me it would have to be less than 2000. I figure a gas super is worth 1500 w/deck and the haban is worth 400-500.

+1

MH-

I see a red rearend, so that's IH-built most likely. All 82 series tractors have aluminum axle tubes.

The blade is in great shape, looks like it was used very little, maybe to move a little snow. The rearend is not full aluminum, just the tubes. Think I'm gonna go work out a deal tomorrow. :beerchug:

So do you think 2000 would be decent if he won't come down any more? Don't see supers in this area very often.
