Danco DR2149 on a 1712

I've had this cub for a while with a mower deck and snow plow. I've finally found a loader, a Danco DR 2147, for a very reasonable price.

Some internet research hasn't yielded much info on this model, but it apparently was for an older cub with an auxiliary hydraulic pump.

Now, the 1712 has front and rear hydraulic remotes--does anyone know if these are adequate to power a loader? Or am I going to install a dedicated hydraulic pump for it?

Thanks, Brad

You will need a dedicated pump for the loader.

Brad, :Welcome2:

Like Joe said you'll need a decicated pump. You'll have to build a new sub frame as well. Matt has a great how to on his site. I don't know much about the 1712's. Time to head over to tractor data and check it out.

Ahh it's a 82 series tractor. Matt's guide will work for you. Before you cut make sure to measure the width on the RD-2147 should be for a wide frame but double check the frames to make sure.

Thank you very much gentlemen--much appreciated.

I was afraid I'd need the dedicated pump--the deal on the loader is still pretty good so I'll probably move forward with it. As far as the sub frame and mounts, it looks like everything was there for the original installation on an older cub. I've got a pretty good sense of what I have to do, but I'll check out Matt's site.

I'm in Earl Township outside Boyertown in eastern PA--just got a couple of acres so I'm looking for a bigger deck for my cub, plus this loader I found. That is unless a nice low-boy drops out of the sky.

Thanks again, Brad
