The new Cub Cadet
I was to the Grange Fair today with a friend from down conry. (slang)
He purchased a new Cub Cadet LTX 1045. It seems to be ok for a new machine. 12" turn Radius. Runs smother than my 2 cubs. not as loud either. Buuuuuut it wont do as much work as my cubies will.:biggrin2.gif: I tore down my tiller today, going to paint it soon. I need to get some sandblasting done first. Wish I had a place to sand blast. ole 147 ______________ Anything worth having is worth keeping nice. |
I think that the only new cubs worth a crap are the 3000 series and maybe the 2500's. They sure have come a long way down from where they used to be!

Congrats, to your friend on the new cub. :beerchug:

i agree. we have 3 2000 series cubs 2135,2166 and a 2165 and they all rock for cutting grass and bagging leaves put thats all there used for here.

only the mow
Well he only mows and pulls a cart around. He was using an old Craftsman gear jammer. I even like the new ones for mowing they get around so well.
Better than that peace of crap Snapper zero turn I use to use. The thing was always spinning and tearing up my grass. I use my 104 marked as 106 never spins or digs up my lawn. I don't turn as good as the new ones though. Maybe I'll get one of these new fangled mowers, they are almost giving them away.:BB&YS: ________________ Anything worth having is worth keeping nice |
You're right, as far as mowers go they are nice for that. The point I was making was that back in the day you bought a tractor that was your mower and you could also plow, till, snow blow, rake, cultivate with it. Nowadays if you want to do all of that with just one tractor you have to spend a fortune.
