Engine Swap?

OK Boys and Girls;
I need to know if a K341AQS from John Deere (Blah) will bolt into a WideFrame Cub Cadet.
And if it will work how many, and what modifications are necessary.
Ya see I have pieces parts of a wide frame, IE frame axles etc. but no engine, however my brother is parting out a Green tractor, just because he can, I don't know the model of the Deere.

All info appreciated;
Cadet Farmer

I have a similar situation but w/k341as from a wheel horse. Installing on 149 w/bad motor. From what I gather the oil pan is the big difference, pto, drive shaft and starter/charge systems can differ also however to me those are easy to change/adapt. I am having a hard time finding info/availability for a proper oil pan

Bolt in? Probably not, as the JD engines are all the 'wide base' blocks, to my knowledge.

Cub engines are readily available if you look...sell the JD engine to someone who needs it (Green stuff is worth its weight in gold, anyway) and use the money to get the correct engine that will give you less headaches.

if the motor is out of the cub, measure the distance between the bolt holes (front to back and left to right), then do the same on the JD oil pan. also measure the height from the bottom of the cub pan to where it mounts to the engine, as do the same on the JD. if they match, then i would say yes. if not, then you could look for a cub oil pan of the same HP. i'm pretty sure the actual base of the motor is the same. you will probably have to swap the drive unit from JD to cub, i.e., pulley system to the clutch system. matt is the shiznit on cubs and for that matter, the whole forum bunch are!!! i put a 12hp from a wheel horse into a 108 and all i did was take the WH engine cradle off and mount it directly to the 108 frame. i also had to change the pulley on the flywheel side to the 3 pin. i hope i given some insight. jeff
