Broccoli for Thanksgiving
 

The cabbage is still too small to pick but this is ready. Danny picked 2 we have 16 more to get tomorrow and put in the freezer.

Gonna have to try growing broccoli some year!

My 29 year old daughter still comes a runnin' home when we tell her the broccoli is ready in the garden!!

Now the 23 year old daughter thinks her older sister is crazy!! The younger one will not eat it on a bet!!

Are you using leaves as a mulch or does it just look that way in the picture? Good looking broccoli!

In the pic, the real green is a mix of rye grass and crimsion clover, then the broccoli thats behind Danny, then to his right is lettuce. Hes standing in leaves from my peco vac, that I till in in the spring.

Yesterday I picked the last 2 cabbage heads, and Kathy took what was left of the Christmas ham and made ham and cabbage soup for me to eat for lunch this week. Sooooooo good made from a honey backed ham!

I like to dip broccoli in ranch dressing, or just about anyway you can fix it.
