Holy Crud

I snapped the head off the bolt while installing the rear bracket for the spring assist. So, off comes the seat pan. Holy crud batman! The whole area was completely packed with grassy, muddy, oily crud. It's a wonder that the hydro drive hasn't overheated to the point of failure.

How often do you guys clean that area of your machines?

Regards, Guido

Every two weeks. :biggrin2:

Just kidding, I would think once every couple of years maybe. You can kind of look up underneath and gauge how dirty it is getting.

cleaning

I took an old blow gun, plumbed in a section of 3/8 trans line about 4 foot long with the end slightly pinched. I use that to blow off the lawn mowers every time I finish mowing.

I'm with you on that Scott, I rarely use water, mainly air to clean my cubs. And can reach up under things and watch the crud blow out too. :biggrin2:
