127 driveshaft fan

Do i need the shroud that goes around the fan or would it be fine to operate it without the shroud?

The only function of the shroud is to provide fan protection. It does NOT improve air flow.

I think Roland has it correct. But while I was under the tractor trying to adjust the neutral position, I was gald the shroud was in place on the 147.

That's what i thought but i didn't wanna destroy the pump because insufficient air flow. Love this site glad to be a new member. Full of useful information and knowledge!

Im still puzzled how the fan can do much with the rag joint right in the way.:bigthink:
