Custom made - Cub cab
2 Attachment(s)
I am building a cab for my 128 out of 1/2 in electrical conduit ,canvas fabric , clear vinyl , plexiglass. I am tired of freezing cold windchills to plow the drives at 6.45 am to get to work. I have the frame almost complete although I kind of screwed up the door trying to get one last bend and might build another. At under $2 a ten foot stick (took 7 )and purchased the fabric at $1 a yard it is cheap enough , going to assemble it like the t cub plane covering. glue it to the frames and sew some ,heat iron to shrink and paint
The conduit mig welds better than I thought it would, and if you dont weld , a piece of 5/8 allthread inserted in the pipe and epoxyed should be about as good and the gusset wrap with poprivets for the braces, 8 bolts hold it on. posted early pics ,maybe some others would want to build theirs for winter. the store where I bought the fabric has more bolts too. 128 9n mtd |
That looks good! Cool idea! Is it welded solid or are the sections pinned so you can take it apart? Could use velcro on the fabric to attach it to the frame or large snap buttons like on w radiator wind breaker. Good job can't wait to see it when finished!
