106 or what.

Well I have what I thought is a 106.
But the back fenders are not like the ones I saw today.
My dash has 106 on it. but the back fenders are the narrow flat ones like on a 122.

Serial # is 231201
I have a pic of it in my profile.
I can't figure out how to get those pics on this page.

From the serial # and the pictures on your profile, I would say it is a 104 instead of a 106. If it was a 106 the serial number would be somewhere between 307000 and 400000. If it has a 10 horsepower engine it should be a 104. Hope this helps.

I don't see external brakes. If it doesn't have them then it would be a 104.

It looks like a kluge job to me - a little of both 104 and 106. A 106 would have integrated fenders and footrests.

That's quite simply a 104 with 106 decals.

Ok so I've been spoofed. I don't have a 106 I have a 104 with decals of a 106.:bash2:
It has no external brakes.
Just a decal that says 106:bash:
Ok so how do I make amends to all you guys that I told that I have a 106.
That in fact I do not. I looks like a 104. With that serial # it could be a 67 or 68 year model.
Both very good years I got married in 67. I`m still married to her.
So if it has a 10 hp and not a 12 hp Eng. it`s a 104 for sure.:beer2:
What if it has a 12 hp mill and not a 10 hp?
Cross that bridge when I come to it.

Just so U know my 147 is a 147.:beerchug:

According to your serial number, it would have been built Feb. 1968. If it has the 12hp engine, it would be a 124. The frist 2 numbers of the model number indicate the horse power. The last number indicates what series it was. Also, the last number indicates wether it's a geardrive or a hydro. The gear drives always ended with a even number (100,1x2,1x4,1x6,1x8). The hydros always ended in a odd number (1x3,1x5,1x7,1x9). All the 70 series were 7 hp and gear drives (70,71,72,73).
