Craftsman FEL
1 Attachment(s)
The Sears near my house is going out of business and everything is half off. I saw a funny looking FEL on the floor, already assembled and asked the guy what it was for. He said it was for Craftsman tractors and would not fit other makes. That was all I needed as a challenge to buy it for $239. It is rated at 200 lbs and has two arms for the controls. One for lift and one for dump. I plan to use the hydro on the lift and use a pull rope on the dump. It is a nightmare of parts and it was assembled wrong at the store so it never worked right. It will make a fun project for the winter months. If any of you have had experience with this thing let me know.

Sweet score! Looks kinda like a johnny bucket with arms to me. That was a awesome price too!

Nice find on the Johnny bucket! :beerchug:

Doesn't look like you'll be able to lift anything bigger than your mother in law with it, but something fun to play with anyway! :)

FEMLL
That stands for Front End Mother in Law Loader! I agree about the limit on the use but on the on line customer review through Sears one guy found it useful as a scoop for gravel and dirt. He put the scoop on the front and a blade on the rear and could do his gravel driveway in one motion. He said that he was going to weld a lot of the joints to keep them from getting out of adjustment so often. I might do that too once I get it to work smoothly. It was put together so badly by the guys at Sears that I am sure they could never demo it to any customers. That's probably why they sold it so cheap. It was missing a few small parts that I have ordered from the manufacturer, AgriFab. It's sort of funny but the two side brackets that attach to the frame of the tractor have a big hole and slot just like our mule lugs. I'm thinking that it will fit the old 1811 without too much work. The lift height is 8 1/2 inches so it won't be a loader but only a scraper or scoop. Like y'all mentioned it will be fun to make it work!

Why Baby Why?
I know I will get the answer 'cause I always do so here goes. I posted this piece on the Attachments and implements section thinking that a FEL would come under that category. I was obviously wrong but can someone tell me why? I look at all of the articles about people scoring parts or whole tractors at many places and they seem to stay put. What is the rule about who, what, when and where we buy something? This is a real question and not a whine about the rules.:bash2:

correct tractor
I will repost the picture when I get it mounted to my 1811. Should I post it in the GT or I & A?
