Called a friend and he sent me a custom made bushing for the 147 carb shaft.
I believe the dimensions were .250 I.D. .4375 O.D and about .100 thick. Made of a brass material. Worked great! I made a mistake and did not allow the butter fly plate to re-seat when I tightened the screws and had to take the carb back off and loosen the screws and allow the plat to get into the fully closed position then re tighten the screws. Hope this helps, Regards, Chris |
I get mine from Chris Westfall, he's a sponsor here. They are from Kohler work great, and when you put the screws back in the choke butterfly, I'd use a dab of blue lock tight. You don't want them coming back out and into the intake!

Thank you all I thought I was looking for very specific repair bushings. I know someone posted with pictures on how to make this repair but I couldn't find that post.

Check for this part number. I picked them up at my Local Ace Hardware Store.
I used two for the shaft. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...b/Image001.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...b/Image002.jpg They also had the screws for the butterfly plate. |
