My mower deck deal. What do you guys think?
 

Hello everyone, Here's a little update on my 1963 "O" mower deck issue. As most know I was looking for a left side mower spindle and pulley, as mine was destroyed by the previous owner. Well I found a guy on another forum with a "O" and he was going to scrap his deck. So he is giving me both spindles, both cogged pulleys, the center spindle, the center pulley, the mower belt, the deck pulley guards, and both deck wheels that bolt to the back. He wants $100 for it all with shipping included from Georgia to my house outside of Buffalo, NY. I think that's a reasonable deal. I kinda researched the shipping, its roughly going to cost $30 to $40 for shipping, so I think I did good! Well I hope I did???

I think you got a good deal and you kept some of the old parts in service. That is the secret of owning these old tractors. I had a great mower deck on a Simplicity tractor that I was converting to a FEL only and wanted to GIVE my deck to anyone who could use it. No takers! I was really disappointed to have to scrap it. You did the right thing.:beerchug:
