Are the 12 or 14 horse cranks the same as a 16 horse? or is a k341aqs crank the same as the k341 that's in my 169?

Yes the 14 and 16 hp K's have the same crank- I think only the 10hp is different. You can verify using the online CC parts catalog.

You can also use a Magnum crank off a M14 or M16. The magnum's are nodular iron instead of just cast. So, they are a bit stronger.

Any used crank make sure it's straight and check it closely for cracks in the radius @ the rod. Dye pen or traditional magnaflux work well.

Remember I think the output shaft configuration is unique to cub's.
