How rare is a 169, and whats a fair price ?

just like the title says...

Are the 169s real hard to come by ? whats a fair price for one in good condition

The 169 is the 3rd rarest cub if I remember right (1st is the 800, 2nd ???, 169 is the 3rd, and 73 is the 4th....)....but I may be mistaken:bigthink:. It is difficult to say what a fair price is, as extras add value (like 3 point hitch, lights, snow blower, blade, hub caps, etc.) and location sometimes plays a role in a fair price for one. It all boils down to an agreement between the buyer and seller so that both feel good about the deal when they rest their head on their pillows at night. My shot in the dark for a running 169 would be from $375-$550 in good, but unrestored, shape.

There was only 4,005 169's made. They are pretty rare.

Rarest production model was the 800, followed by the 169, then the 126......
The mufflers are hard to find and expensive if you find one. The original 16 horse kohler was a 13 fin motor. Even if the muffler is gone and the engine is a replacement, they are still nice tractors. Price always depends on location and what the tractor looks like, runs, etc. Good luck and keep us posted. :beerchug:

alright ...... who bought the 169 in dacusville on saturday!!???

Allen

The 169 in Dacusville, was Rons.im guessing. Hes the only one around here that had one. Also the 102 or 122 that went with it, I gave to him. I bought it for 50 bucks, sold the brinly adapter and hed lights out of it and gave it to him. The 169 needed eng work, no hydro lift and I would have given the 122 to anyone that would have wanted it.

He may still be reading the sites, dont know seems I pissed him off at a plow day, dont really care. Allen and Jen met him at the first plow day I think. He came out the road to meet them.

He was a real nice guy, one heck of a welder and could make about anything on a lathe. Just had some problems in his life. Its a shame we did a lot of cubbin togeather.

he said the engine was all fresh rebuilt... dunno what caliber of rebuild....lol any ways, he was a nice guy. I went up today and got a set of harrows from him and some sort of home made box scrape. looked kinda cool... and they were both real cheap.

he said some one from NC drove down yesterday day and bought the 169. I would have got the 169 no questions to have for a project later on.. oh well.

the 122 looked pretty rough he wanted 350 for it he said... claimed it ran well, but id have to see it to believe it.

Allen

You were 5 min from my house. Was it a big guy with a green chevy, no hair? If so it was Ron.

You could have brought me that deck to sell at the show.
