New seat
I'm looking for a good seat that isn't the new plastic junk they sell. Is this a good one or has anyone purchased a good metal pan type like the one that's on my 1811.

Oak,
That should work real well. Looks like a Cub seat. I would use that too. Post a picture when you get it mounted. I just pulled the trigger on the seat Todd recommended to me. A little more $ but should make a nice seat for the 147. Regards, Chris |
im in the market for a new seat. Oak, did you get that metal pan seat in your link? does it have holes drilled all in teh back of it? im looking for a nice seat without holes in the back. Sugarmaker, what seat did you wind up with?

Oak, I got 2 of those seats for the 1650 and 107 it had a bunch of holes in the bottom of it but none of them lined up so I drilled new holes and got it put on and it is comfy!

The seat Todd recommended is real nice. I mounted it a little higher than normal due to the sliding feature and I still wanted the seat to tip up too.
Cheryl even likes it! (just doesn't have a cup holder:)) The info on that slider with the folding back and folding arm rests is buried in the thread "added more IH equipment". Where I worked on the 147R. Hope this helps. I like the seat shown in the first post this thread. I think it looks a lot like the high back Cub seat. my 2 cents. Regards, Chris |
