Another HI from KY
Hello Everyone,
I'm Stuart and I live in Hopkinsville. I have a few cubs. Three of them belonged to my dad and two I've bought. The first cub I mowed with was an original. Dad bought it and a 73 for $200 and we used those for years. I have both still. He moved up to a 100 and used it for a while and gave it to me when I bought my first house. I still have it, but it sat in my garage for the first 4 years because the first time I tried to mow with it, it broke.... so I bought a 2185 from a friend for $230, and it has been my main mower for a since till it started acting up, so out came the 100. It's running again and mowing. I bought a 125 a few weeks ago to replace the 100 as my back up mower. It needs some help, but does run..... I plan to convert the 100 for gardening duties, so if anyone in KY has a tiller, I might be interested in one...... Happy Cubbing.... Stuart |

gnufe,
Welcome to the forum. Glad to have ya. I've seen some real show IH Cub Cadets in your neck of the woods on ebay. I'm sure you'll be able to find anything you need. :Welcome2::IH Trusted Hand: |
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the welcome. My Cubs are by no means show tractors. The Original and 73 are in pieces and all the rest are workers with some funky engineering done in the case of the 125, but I'll get there. Finding parts isn't the problem, it's finding money and time.... I like hearing about all of your cubs and trials and tribulations with them. I'll post pictures when I get a chance. Thanks again, Stuart |
Welcom to the forum Stuart.:Welcome2: :beerchug:

My Cubs
Hi Everyone,
Here is a pic of 3 of my cubs and my brothers 70.... From left to right are my 125 with aftermarket exhaust, lights and boat seat, my 2185 with 15 gal sprayer, my brothers 70 and my 100. The 70 doesn't run right now, but should be pretty easy to get it running. All the others run. The 100 and 2185 mow.... I'm still working on getting the 125 to mow. My plans are to convert the 100 for garden duties by adding a creeper gear, rear lift with spring assist and a tiller. The 125 will be my backup mower and the 2185 will serve as the main mower unless I find something bigger or better.... I haven't decided what to do with the Original or 73 yet.
