sooo.... "WHY" use hytran ?

Can any one tell me why or perhaps give me some technical reasons to use hytran over a more economically priced fluid that meets the same standards?

I understand the owners manual recommends it, and that it is also "the best", but I would like to know why ?

Before I spend the premium price for the hytran I just would like to know why it is premium .

Im sure this will fuel a heated debate, but i want to know legitimate reasons it is superior from personal experience.... not just that " its better because case says its better! "

thats a good chart with alot of good information, but its produced by IH, so its automatically baised.

it also isnt comparing the same type of fluids... its comparing hytran to gear oil, and engine oil...

Hytran is also nice and 'clingy' so even stuff that sits a lot is protected. I have had two gear drive tractors that sat outside for some time before I got them. When I drained the rears, the only thing that came out of each one was a gallon of WATER. When I removed the shifter and rear cover to clean them out, I was shocked to find absolutely zero rust, despite the fact that they were both full of water.

I never use anything but recomended products for my IH Cub Cadet. I also have a hard time finding finding any stores that sell hyd.oil in a 1 gallon jug. I have tried Walmart, Tractor Supply, Advanced Auto. From my local dealer I buy my oils, and parts when I'am not supporting my sponcers.

According to the chart, I should be using it in my engine, transmission and rear end of my truck! :ROTF1:

if you get reading on some JD stuff, even their literature recommends CASE/IH Hytran.... gotta be good stuff if the competition even recommends it.
