best info for serial numbers?
I looked up my tractors ser # and the best I can tell it is a IH built machine...
can some one verify the # for me maybe? what do the first numbers stand for, and the letter? Does the star mean any thing ? thanks guys. cub 149 ser# " 2050047U525322* " |

A kind code of 034 is used for IH made Rear engine Riding Mowers. A kind code of 035 is used for IH made Lawn Tractors. A kind code of 205 is used for IH made Cub Cadets(Garden Tractors) 0047 = 149 Q-What does the U Mean? A-The U means it is made in the USA. 525322= Sept. of 1974 |

That's pretty easy to come up with.
If it has problems more so than not, then it was made on a Mon, Wed. or Fri. If always has problems then the night shift of those days. If it runs great and never needs much, it is a Tue, or Thur made cub from Day shift. :LMAO1: |
