light questions

Do blown out tail lights cause the headlights not to work??? I got 2 tractors that are stumping me on head lights. As far as I know everything plugged in on the switch, connectors are plugged in, bulbs are good, fuse is good. So that got me thinking that maybe since the taillights are busted out, that, might like short out the headlights? I don't know what else do I got to look for.

No they don't, my 149 before starting on the rebuild had one working head lamp, and one working tail lamp!

Have checked your light switch, it's only 2 wires, a hot in and the lamp side, are both hot when the switch is on?

Man that is a lot of Cubs you own . maybe the most in this group?
start checking with a test light / multimeter -is my suggestion - overcharging? & blowing bulbs-- bad ground ?

Check to see if your headlight wire is not worn through where the hood hinge is.Then check your switch with a meter....
