What the Heck!
 

Been working on my 149 charging problem for well ever, it seems like could not figure out why the system would not work, replaced the SG and the VR still didn't work, well today i replaced the throttle cable and now everything works great. would like to know why it works. the old cable would get stuck and not let the motor go up to full throttle smoothly now it runs much better..

Grounding though the Throttle Cable....???

My thought exactly. Throttle cable could have been coming in contact with an exposed wire or spade/screw electrical connection grounding the system?
