#26 carb choke detent ball
Does any body know what size the detent ball that sits on the spring behind the choke shaft is? I thought I was being careful when I was taking it apart but it got away from me:angry:. Thanks for any help, Wally

I think it is possibly an 1/8th in ball. I lost mine when rebuilding one of my carbs and never replaced it. The choke cable keeps the choke open anyways.

If the site that you have lost it hasn't been disturbed much, you might be able to slip a sock over the end of your shop vac or some kind of stocking (ie. female hose stocking, etc.) and lightly run that over the area where you lost it, about 1/2" above the surface, checking periodically to see if it is on the end of the hose/nozzle.

Or a magnet ( large one , ya know , for the shop ,driveways , work sites ect . Check your local roofer if you know them . Feel your pain ....happy hunting .... :beerchug:

As said also, if you don't find it, don't worry, the choke cable will have enough friction to hold the choke shaft open while running.
