State Trooper Concern
An elderly woman was pulled over by a state trooper. The officer approached the vehicle and the little old lady asked, "Officer, what is the problem? I have my seatbelt on, I don't think that I was swerving or exceeding the speed limit was I?". He responded, "No ma'am. I stopped you because your speed was too slow and was impeding other motorist." She replied, "I was doing the speed limit officer, 32 mph." He told her, "No, the road you are on is Hwy 32, the speed limit is 55 mph on this road." Embarassed, she said, "Sorry officer, I've made a mistake of misreading the sign." In an understanding voice, he said, "No problem ma'am. Just making sure that traffic moves along safely." After making this statement, he glanced at the other passengers in the vehicle who were all white as a ghost and motionless. He then asked the driver, "There appears to be a problem with your passengers ma'am. Is everything okay?" She quickly responded, "Yes officer, we just came off of Hwy 126."
