PTO Clutch adjustments

I have a type-a that i need to adjust. i looked in the technical section here and found that there is a small cut out plate adjuster to sit over the face. i don't have one. does anyone know if i could just use a feeler gauge between the drive gear and the pully? and if so what would be a good setting? had to replace the throw out leavers and can't get it adjusted properly to work now. thanks for any help you can give me guys.

I moved your thread here where it will be seen by more people.

A feeler gauge won't work. You will need the correct PTO gauge to set the PTO. You can post in the wanted section for the gauge, someone may have one they can send you.

Had the same problem, my friend. Vince, a very generous fellow poster here, has a loan-ing service he's doing right now with the adjustment gauges. He sent his to me first, then there's one other guy, if he still needs it. I am just about to PM him and ask where I send the gauges to next.

gauges

that would be great. if he would allow it i need the one for the "a" style i believe. read on another of your posts about the "blank stare" at the dealership. i know the feeling. got that too. just got my 125 a month ago and the bearing went on the pto. had to pull it off. guy had new throw out levers in a box and a new gear so i put them on. the clutch spring was backwards and the clutch wouldn't disengage. made it hard to start.
