Narrow frame quick attach dimensions

hi guys,

I'm trying to restore my mule drive or quick attach bracket and am in need of the dimensions for the bracket to go on the frame.

Thanks,

Stuart

Progress

Hi y'all,

The mule is straightened out and a plate was welded to the back of it for more strength. I made two tensioners since it's going to be used for a 1A tiller. I installed it this morning. It's tight but should work fine.

I need to paint it.

I've also been working on putting the gearbox and three point on and made some progress with that also. This 125 had a hydro lift on it, but it was removed when I bought it (Sminkey has beautifully restored it too, I might add) so I used the rockshaft and handle from one of my 73's to put a lift on it then I put a three point on it and made an adapter to use a sleeve hitch since the tiller pin is stuck in the hitch. It works well. I just need to tidy some things up.

I made the sleeve hitch from plans found here. It was slightly modified to fit my skill level but I think it will work. I need to paint it the proper color, though...http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...e/78f8764a.jpg

Forgive the pictures... They are a little blurry as they were taken with an iPhone with an otterbox on it...

Anyway, what do ya think?

Just a clarification...

hey y'all,

I just wanted to clarify about the lift. Sminkey bought the lift off the tractor and restored it and posted pictures of it in another thread. He did a great job on it too. I bought the tractor and am making do with a manual lift. I'll find a hydro unit someday...

Your not going to like lifting that tiller with the armstrong method. Look for a spring assist or another hydro lift. My 125 had the armstrong lift on it and there is no way in the world I would try and till lifting that tiller up without some sort of help. Tillers are 225 lbs range. I think the heavest attachment for our cubs.

Excellent job on the 3 pt! :beerchug:

Thanks for the compliments.... I know the tiller is heavy. I don't like moving it around off the tractor... I have a Brinly spring assist, but when mocking up the three point it wouldn't fit between the frame and hydro unit. I'll get some pictures later if I get the chance. I'd like to have an Ih spring assist. I'll get one when I have some funds.

Thanks,

Stuart

:biggrin2: The main thing is you have the tiller. A spring assist will be easy to get compared to that... Hoping to find a tiller for myself in about 6 months.
