Need help with Cub Cadet Original steering column

I am in the process of bringing a real nice un-molested Cub Original back to life. I have some questions on what the steering column mount should look like at the dash. I own 3 Originals and they are all different. I'm guessing someone had re-worked each of these before got them. Any help would be great. Thanks

Cub Original Steering Column

I have a ? about what the steering column should really look like where it comes thru the dash. I own 3 of these tractors and they are all different. Thanks Brian

I'm not real good with computers but hopefully I can get my daughters to help get some pics loaded soon. Wish me luck.

Cub Original Steer Column

Thanks. So there isn't supposed to be anything holding the rubber bushing from coming out of the dash? One of the Cubs has a rivetted bracket around the column? Are the rubber bushings still available?

Great Pic But.......

I am interested in seeing a pic of where the column comes thru the actual "dash". WildBill actually explained what the rubber grommet will look like. But a pic of it installed would be super. I'm guessing that as the column bushings wore out on the Originals that I have, the PO's just "patched" that area. Thanks and hope to see pics. Brian

Thanks

I want to say thanks to everyone with a big thanks to WildBill. I would say as the rubber bushing wore out, PO's would just make a bracket to hold the column tube tight in the dash. This was probably easier than their failed attempts of removing the steering wheel. Well I hope to get the parts I need and get er up and driving. The IH part number you gave me should be available thru a Cub dealer I hope? Thanks again. Brian:Cub1:
