Getting ready for a few local shows.
I have several shows in August around my area. So today I thought I'd get the toys out and get them all cleaned up and ready to go. I have four tractors but one is not ready yet. They aren't really show quality because I use them as much as I can around the house. We just like going to see other stuff mostly. There is one show close by my house that I'm really wanting to go to. I will stay over night there in our old travel trailer. So I guess I'll need to make a two trips to get everything there. Good thing it's only a few miles away. Then there is two more close by. My brother and I will to those. He has several tractors also. August is a busy month for us.

Whats that other red one in the back? |
Thanks guys...
Diz Jr, The red tractor in the back is my 1963 Wheel Horse 953. It was the first year for a factory stock hydraulic lift. You could have hydraulic lift on others back then but it was put on from the dealer (that's my understanding). It also has the rear inside wheel weights that are pretty hard to find. Also, it has a S/N of 462 and an early steering box that was only used in the first six months of production. The green tractor is my "orphan tractor", Roth Country Boy. I think it was built in 1956, locally here in Michigan. It came with a 6 volt - 8hp Kohler engine that has aluminum tins opposed to steel tins. That tractor was built using what the factory could find to build tractors. Mine came with a auto steering box and 3-speed tranny. It also has an odd rearend. The neat thing is, there will be a local show this coming month and there are several Roth tractors and Roth 2-wheel walk behinds that will try to be there. This will be the first time we have tried to get together. That should make for some nice pictures. Hopefully I can learn more about my little orphan tractor. :biggrin2.gif: Mich60 |
Thanks for the info. Hope you get lots of pictures.

Where did you get the center hubcaps on the 782? I like them alot.
782's were meant to be red, and so mine will be, someday.... Nice collection. |
I had them kickin around for sometime. They are just a 6" cap I got in a swap meet somewhere. I wish it were a 782 but I still like it. Mines a 1282 and it's done everything I need to do so far.
