105 belt
 

Hi all,
Just picked up a 105 and a pair of 154's for $1500. Best of all, they work great! I'll start the resto this winter. I do have one problem though, my local Cub dealer (the most worthless place in the world to do business with) doesn't stock part for Cub anymore and has to order everything! They could give me a part number for the mower (PTO to the 38" deck) but couldn't tell me what size it was so I could see if the belt might be at one of the local auto parts stores. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated, actually, I'd settle for the dimensions to the deck drive belt.

This should be the correct PTO belt for you. Tho the number may have changed their computer should have no problem pulling it up.

PTO BELT: 38", 42" IH-473462-R4 -3/8 X 81"
Spindle Belt: 38" 954-3002 -1/2 X 72"

What you are probably going to find out the hard way is that most other belts cannot handle the twisting and torque that the cub mule drive puts on them and they only last a very short time. You can obviously put one on it if you like, but I suggest using original Cub Cadet Belts for longevity and problem free use.

I guess I'd better not get in a hurry, so, I'll order the right one and try not to be too impatient. Thanks for the advise!
